Rainforest

Millions upon millions of different animals live in the rainforest. Introduce your children to the wonder and diversity of this animal habitat with this rainforest art box!

This box is packed full of fun with five arts, crafts, and baking projects. Children will create a lazy sloth hanging from a tree and a parrot perched on a branch. They'll also walk on the wild side as they create poison dart frogs and twisty snakes! In each project, they'll get to practice new art skills. They'll be squishing paint, using bleeding paper, and putting together a 3D diorama. With this art box, kids have a chance to learn about a faraway place and create art pieces based on the amazing creatures that live there.

Activities in the Rainforest Box:
Hanging Sloth in Trees
This sloth is so cute, you'll want to hang out with him all day! Kids begin the background by squishing paint under a sheet of aluminum foil. They'll add the wooden branches and leaves to make a nice home for the sloth.

Poison Dart Frogs on Bleeding Paper
Children assemble a rainforest background piece-by-piece in this project. They'll paint the bleeding tissue paper with water and, when it's dry, all of the color will have been transferred to the paper below it! They'll make several frogs with bright red tongues, too.

Perched Parrot Craft
Parrots are some of the most beautiful birds in the world. Kids get the chance to design their own parrot in this craft. They'll be dressing up the bird outline and giving it a branch to sit on. Tissue paper becomes the feathers and a hanging craft roll becomes the parrot's perch!
