Gustav Klimt

Born in 1862, Gustav Klimt was an incredibly talented artist who was never satisfied with the status quo. Even though he was one of the best artists in his class at the Vienna School of Arts and Crafts, he was never passionate about the classical style of the time. Instead, he broke away from the traditional artists in Vienna and created his own unique style that emphasized symbolism, gold materials, and an Art Nouveau style.

With the projects in this box, you will get a chance to create art like Klimt did during his Golden Period! First, have fun creating a mixed-media Tree of Life with sparkly gold paint, oil pastels, gems, and stickers. Then create a replica of The Kiss using gold paint, gold paper, and interesting patterns.
