Mary Cassatt is one of America's most famous female artists. She was an impressionist artist best known for her works featuring mothers and their children. She often used pastel colors and was greatly influenced by Japanese printmaking.

With this art box, children will learn more about Mary Cassatt's life and artwork by reading a short biography and reproducing some of her work! Your young artists will create 2 reproductions of Mary’s art works, they will learn about and practice printmaking techniques, and they will create a diorama based on Mary's famous work The Boating Party!
