Norman Rockwell

Norman Rockwell (1894–1978) was one of America's most beloved illustrators. For nearly fifty years, he painted covers for The Saturday Evening Post, capturing everyday moments with warmth, humor, and incredible storytelling. Rockwell had a unique ability to tell an entire story in a single image. Using real people as models, he carefully staged scenes filled with expression, emotion, and personality. His artwork continues to inspire artists of all ages to look closely at the world around them and tell stories through art.

Designed for ages 6–18+, this artist-inspired art box introduces young creatives to Norman Rockwell's storytelling techniques through four hands-on projects. Along the way, they'll explore watercolor painting, oil pastel resist, mixed-media art, sculpture, and visual storytelling. All supplies are included, making this a fun, screen-free art activity for kids, homeschool families, and creative teens.
