Virginia Sterrett

Virginia Sterrett achieved incredible success as an illustrator as a teenager! Even though she was female in the 1900s and still very young, two disqualifying qualities at that time, the beauty of her enchanting artwork was undeniable.

This art kit celebrates Sterrett's illustrations and invites children to step into her magical world, too! They'll design four projects that are inspired by Sterrett's most famous pieces. Along the way, they'll learn about Sterrett's life, her artistic style, and the fairy tales she illustrated. Don't miss the new materials in this art box! Kids will get their hands on metallic foil paper and an interesting mixture of watercolor paint, flour, and glue.
